Fabric

One hundreds two ply, sixty singles, madder finished twills, dobby, pique…  These terms mean nothing to most people; and they don’t have too. But they do make a difference in what you see when you look at a fabric and what you feel when you hold it in your hand, and the luxury you experience when you wear it.  Madeleine Finn goes to great length to find the softest, finest, best constructed and most uniquely beautiful shirting fabric made.  But we don’t stop there…

Buttons

The buttons we use are 3mm. cut troika shell buttons from the South Pacific.  We put more into our buttons than most shirt makers put into their entire shirt. But we don’t stop there…

Design and construction

Our shirts are designed for comfort with a classic style.  A generous fit offers enough length in the arm, and an arm hole that allows movement.  The split miter yoke changes the direction of the fabric to give comfort across the shoulders.  The horizontal button hole for the bottom button lets the wearer comfortably reach that furthest button.  For style, the collar is “the best in the business”.  And for quality there are the reinforced gusset covers, the single needle stitching, and the pearled button holes. But we don’t stop there…
